I found the Doc about 2 years ago, maybe like you it changed my life.
Up until then I considered myself a Democrat. I thought government should protect the weak and limit the rich. "Nothing is inevitable except death and taxes." I didn't understand why evil Republicans fought to curtail spending and entitlements. Then, thew some random circumstance, I heard Paul speak. http://youtu.be/4s_IUwwGq-A
I said to my self "self, who is this guy and why do I like what he's saying?" My life, as I knew it, was over. My days of wondering what to do after work was forever answered. My spare time in now consumed with all things Paul. Books, videos, debates, news columns, meetups, phone banking, fund raising, I don't have enough time in the day and it spills over into the night, sometimes to the detriment of my pocket.
All this is not the problem. I love my new life, glad to help, and if I could I'd quit work and do nothing else (except when the Giants are playing) I would. The problem is when I first learned the message of Liberty, Responsibility, and sound money, anyone who disagreed with me was my enemy. Lord help them if they ignore, or disagree with the good Doctor and I caught wind of it.
Here lays the conundrum. Paul gets his fair share of bias coverage. It drives me nuts! The whole system seems slanted against us. We have seem Doc take the dumbest questions and turn the conversation to a substantive level http://youtu.be/5jEx_HAgHVg
So.........what do you do?
Take a deep breath.
Step back and look at where you are, who your talking to.
and above all, ask yourself,
"Self, What would Ron Paul say?
Educate yourself about the issues, and find ways to express your educated opinions with facts and logic. Fight the inequities with all your heart and mind in an adult manor. Don't over react, show caution when dealing with indecenting opinions. http://youtu.be/eZAW2spbZys
The old adage "you catch more flies with honey then vinegar." is true.
Do you wish to create the paradigm shift so badly needed to gain the nomination and win the white House? Then help spread the message in an adult and educated manor.
I'm not saying that some journalists don't deserve their what for. I'm saying "if you want to help the movement don't act like some random OWS thug, spouting hate speech, spread facts."
